HP%, C.RATE, C.DMG, SPD, FOCUS One of Gangelo’s many failed creations, Jabez has found utility as a mind-controlled puppet under Soulplunder’s thumb to be kept in check by a heady mix of arcane sorceries and alchemy at the cost of such disfigurement it is now difficult to discern Jabez’ original identity and even race.
Jabez’s low position within Soulplunder’s hierarchy does not diminish from his usefulness as Gangelo’s foremost aide as the twisted inventor seeks more hapless souls as subjects for his experiments. Years of mind control, magical and drug-induced, have severely distorted Jabez’ thinking into a state of servile obedience to Gangelo’s every word. Yet there are moments where fragments of Jabez’s original memories will shine through and seek control in a schizophrenic war of the mind.
Eyewitness have sworn Jabez has, at least on one occasion, recovered his former identity well enough to launch a vicious attack against his master, a powerful struggle in which the words “Halo of Dawn” were reportedly heard several times from Jabez’ mouth. This has started no shortage of rumors amongst the Soulplunder rank-and-file that the reason for Jabez’ extraordinary skills with the bow can be traced back to his former life under the Halo of Dawn and to a great archer who vanished decades ago, so the story goes, never to be heard from or seen by his fellow warriors of the Light since. The rumor has become increasingly credible with time as more and more of Soulplunder’s warriors witness Jabez’ skills with the bow first-hand.
